Cheese and tomato tart

I wouldn’t be a good nothern girl if I didn’t enjoy a good pasty!

Unfortunately there is very limited options avalible so if you can’t find it make it!

Although this isn’t a pasty, it can easly be made into one and a good tart is just as tasty

Preperation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 15-20 minutes

Serves: 1, but you can make more than 1 out of the pasrty

Vegan ~ Gluten free

Ingredients:

  • 1 packets of gluten free puff pasrty, I like to use Jus-Rol
  • Grated vegan cheese of your choice
  • 5 cherry tomato’s cut in half
  • 1 tsp of milk alternitive
  • 2 tbsp of tomato puree

Method:

Pre heat the oven to 200c/390f

Unwrap (but leave on the paper) and cut your puff pastry into a square, appox 15cm x 15cm or get fancy and cut your pastry into a fun shape!

Score around the edge of the square 1cm in from the edge but dont cut through the pastry

Spread the tomato puree in the inner square on the pastry

Then add your cheese and cherry tomatos, you want the cheese to cover the tomato puree but dont pile it to high

Coat the uncovered edges of puff pastry with your milk alternitive and place the tart on a baking tray

Cook until the edges are a golden colour. puffed up and your cheeses is melted this should be around 15 minutes
